This clone was selected out from amongst many candidates for its speckled pitcher body and unusual plum coloured peristome. Horticultural, bred by Borneo Exotics. The female parent is a Brunei red form of N. ampullaria, formerly sold under CR-04 and the male parent is the Gng. Tambusisi form of N. hamata.
